Why is my  DVR 95%    full at 59hr:21min , I thought the boxes were able to hold 85 hours of sd Programing. I have 0 hours of HD

When performing a search for this issue, I found the post that I had read a while back. It discusses the issue, and has a resolution about half way through the thread. The post says there is a code you can enter when displaying the system information, and it will recalculate the available space. I am not positive it works, and must warn you that I know not what it does, but you may want to read this.

I think i found the reason  my DVR was 95%   full at 59hr:21min,  I had some dupicate programs
