Switched to fios back in February & discovered that the DVR I was given was 1.9 & therefore able to accept the 1TB WD DVR Expander I was using with cable - set it up, no problems at all...fast forward to mid-April, DVR started having issues & had to be replaced by a field tech that came out - after he was done I plugged in the external drive knowing full well I'd likely lose what I had on there - the box asked me if I wanted to format & I accepted...after this, nothing - I've tried rebooting, running the "enable more storage" feature, formatting the drive on my pc with an app i downloaded from WD, nothing seems to get the drive to sync & start working with the DVR even though it recognizes it when I connect it...anyone else experience this? Thanks!

When Verizon replaced my old DVR with a new one, I had the same problem. The eSATA cable that came originally with the 1TB WD drive doesn't make a snug connection with the external drive in the back. I bought a new eSATA cable (http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-3-Feet-Shielded-External-ESATA3/dp/B000ENUCR4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=...) to replace the one provided by WD. All is working now.
