DVR - GUIDE - Current Program out of sync

I go through this every Sunday. Football games do not end at a set time therefore all the programs to follow are out of sync with the FIOS Guide. So, If you want to record "The UNIT" on CBS the DVR does not know it going to start at 10:15 instead of 10:00. So.... the DVR starts at 10:00 and than stops at 11:00 missing 15 minutes of "The UNIT" Is there something that can be done to avoid missing the end of the program or do I have to set up the DVR to record everything for Sunday?

You could modify your series recording to record an extra 15 or 30 minutes past its normal ending time.

Thanks, That is a good short term fix. Long Term, the guide should have the knowledge of the network program signals to know when programs begin and end.
