For "series recording", I have always used the default"Keep" as "up to 5 episodes".

 

Since my latest firmware update to the DVR, it does not honor this value any more, and I have 10 and more versions of some series, and rising.

 

I checked in the "Manage Series Recordings" and it still has keep 5.

 

How can I stop these runaway recordings?

 

DVR is a QIP 7232 2.

I'm having the same problem, though only for the last few days.  In my case, I have some news shows programmed to only keep two episodes but when I check, I find 8-10.

 

Did you ever figure out a fix for this?  I have tried resetting/rebooting the DVR.  Thanks!

I do have a fix for it. Basically just delete the series recording settings and set it back up again. I know this might be inconvienent but it does work.
