What a fiasco!!!!!!!!!!!
Picked up new HD/DVR from local store and it doesn't work.
Get sent "new" box to replace worthless box and new box freezes up whenever I try to watch a recorded show.
Find out that "new" means reconditioned and they are now sending me a new box.
Really frustrated with this surface.
one month left on contracdt..phew.

When you ordered the new DVR, they didnt move you to one of the new channel packages right? Just want to make sure of this because if they did change your TV channel package as well as adding a box, your contract started over. If you only added a box and didnt change the channel package, then your fine with the contract to expire in a month.

I didn't make any changes. Time to see what else is out there.
7 hrs on the phone to get my dvr to work properly and then sent a reconditioned one just doesn't cut it imho.
This all started becuase a local box distributor botched me getting a new box and then just handed me one and told me to call the tech line. They weren't abel to make the box work becuase the story just gave me the box without doing the proper procedures to get it to work.
Obviously Verizon is big enough to not care but I find this type of customer service intolerable.
