I noticed whenever I brought up the TV guide screen and hit the arrow buttons, the guide continued to scroll long after I stopped. Afterwards, I noticed that the DVR remote indicator stays on. Therefore, the box is acting as if the remote is continually sending a signal. Also, this is happening if I press a number to change the channel. The last number will continue to enter itself over and over again.
The remote control is not doing this because I can remove the batteries and the light stays on. This is an issue within the DVR. I have to unplug it and turn it on while pressing the power button for this problem to stop. This temporarily turns off the remote indicator light and the DVR functions normally. Unfortunately, this is a temporary fix.
Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what is a solution for it.
