Make that $8.00 for two cable cards if you want 2 tuner recording. Plus $13 a month Tivo fee.
It's only $3.99 since it has been stated that vVerizon is now carrying M cards (which support multiple tuners with a single card) as opposed to the old S cards which only supported a single tuner. And I had stated that is in addition to any TiVO fees (depends how you subscribe as to what it costs - you can purchase a lifetime sub for a one time fee)

I'm having a similar issue. No problem with the new vs. reruns, but I am having a problem with repeats. I have verified several times that the "don't record repeats" box is checked, but the DVR doesn't care. It's like it has amnesia. Once I watch a show and delete it from the DVR, it's like it was never there in the first place and will get recorded again the next time it comes around. Very annoying.

Again, the fault is with the guide infoprmation. If you delete the first recording and the next aiting is listed as "NEW" then the DVR sees it as new and not a repeat (even though you recorded it and erased it earlier). The firmware does not remember what you erased - memory is limited enough as is

I get the impression that this isn't exactly a "fault" with the guide. I have noticed that some programs are frequently listed as NEW multiple times in a week, day, or some other time period. That would make some sense if you think about it, in order to help us avoid recording conflicts. Let's say you wanted to set up a series recording for 3 programs at the same time and day. To avoid the conflict you might select an alternate time or day for one of the recordings, if it was available. But then, if it was not listed as NEW for that time also, that wouldn't work.

This really only impacts "series" recordings ... only the "first" airing of a show if supposed to be marked as "First Run", everything else while it may still be a "new" episode this week, is technically a "rerun". This is indeed a guide error. Now, should the box "learn" what you've recorded historically and not-rerecord episodes you've already seen? Yeah ... that would be a nice addition (however, I'd like to see more disk space first!).

I still wouldn't call it an error, more like a compromise. I have benefitted many times, in the few weeks I have used this service, from the multiple "First run" or "New" labels. I have about 35 series recordings set up and would normally have frequent conflicts. In at least four instances that I remember, I was able to get the "new" series recordings with a creative setup even though it wasn't the first new one of the week or day. That would not have worked if only one airing was labeled as first run. The downside is that sometimes you get "duplicates", but then that is partly why they have the option to not record them.
