Did you really mean a year from now? Or did you mean 3/31/12?

I have the same question. I want to upgrade my HD DVR space and wanted to buy the 1 TB WD DVR expander but 2 sites says its discontinued and the others say out of stock. All other DVR expanders are USB only and not eSATA so there is currently no way for us to expand out DVR space at this time.

Verizon Customer Support - please provide an applicable and capable expander that is recommended to be used to expand out DVRs.

Sorry but this information is incorrect.  The drive is not discontinued as we were previously led to believe the 1 TB is still available I just purchased it on Amazon and it works perfectly.  HINT: hook everything up first and plug the drive power in last before activation via the FiOS menu
