FF in playback

if i've recorded an 8hr session (US Open) how do jump ahead 1, 2 or 3 hrs ahead in the playback. thus far all I do is use the highest FF speed (>>>>) but it still takes forever.

That's one feature missing in the current FiOS DVR software.

At the very least, Verizon should add a feature like TiVo's "skip to tick" which allows you to skip one-hour at a time on an 8-hour recording (or 15 minutes at a time on a 3-hour recording).

so they've set up a digital recording to act like a piece of tape.  that borders insane.
