Spent time on phone with tech support because my remote would not control volume. Problem wasn't resolved. They wanted me to purchase new remote. Instead I found that there are 2 types of remotes, the rep didn't ask me which one I was using. I trythe programming procedure for the remote made by Phillips and it worked.
