Actually it got solved from the verizon side. I did few tweaks on my side (that I am sharing here).

You can perform following step to see if that resolves the issue:

1) Switch off completely the STB. unplug the box for 10+ seconds.

2) delete old recordings, also delete scheduled recording.

3) create new recording and do "modify series with options" setting. add few extra minute at before and after.
