I WANT TO USE THE 2 ports on the front of my HOME MEDIA QIP6416 DVR
They are:
(1) VIDEO IN :: which connects to baseband video output from a VCR, camcorder, or other video device
(2) AUDIO IN (L/R) :: which connects to a baseband audio output from a VCR, camcorder, or other audio device
I understand from the FIOS manual and from the Motorola product guide, that it must be activated by VERIZON (service provider)
MY QUESTION IS:
Is it possible for me to use these ports to plug in, say, a game, a camcorder, any other video source etc , and watch it on the tV?
The ports are conveniently placed on the front.
Has VERIZON subsequently decided to ACTIVATE THESE PORTS ?
Can you turn them on REMOTELY?
Can you help me here?

I am almost 100% that the front av ports are disabled along with the usb port. you might have to buy an AV switch if you're out of plug in's or can't use your TV

AFAIK there is no hardware on the board to support either the A/V or USB inputs. Kind of hard to activate if there isn't the hardware to support (these are options which Verizon did not purchase).
