You can do that here. Verizon employees do monitor this forum, although probably not those that have a direct say in the software. But there's a chance the suggestions you make here will be forwarded to those with a say in development.
Note Verizon FiOS is compatible with the TivoHD, so if you want your own, more "ergonomic friendly" box with superior guide information, you have the freedom to buy one of those for $200-$250. If you had a DirecTivo from DirecTV, the TiVoHD is basically just a new and improved version of that box built using the latest available hardware. A CableCard from Verizon plugs into the front to authorize all the channels you receive. More information here:
