How can I connect the network port on my Fios HD DVR to my computer. Thanks Big_E

On the dvr the ethernet port is not active

Ethernet port on all STBs is not active for remote devices.

It is rumored that you can connect IPCs via ethernet instead of coax but is an unsupported configuration.

Actually its documented and supported,  See page 13 of the ipc manual.  Note there may be advantages to using MOCA,

I just got Fios installed Friday.  I have the Quantum dvr and 3 client boxes.  I brought 2 of these for 2 of the 4 rooms with the boxes that arent hard wired(network).

I took the coax cable that was attached to the box and put a splitter on it.  One wire goes to the cable box the other to the Adapter.  It was just plug and play.  I can stream hd movies to both tv no problem.  Each adapter has 4 gig lan ports.  Since my Rev i router is already moca enabled i didnt need to attached anything else but the adapters where i wanted to put them.
