Short term fix: Change the channel. Then go to menu...DVR.... and resume the program. This will fix the probem for 20 minutes or so. Verizon told me last nite that they have not seen this problem. This forum proves them wrong. I will call back and so should you.

Same problem here, came to this forum to see if anyone else had the problem. And I had hoped this DVR was going to be less buggy then the previous cisco equipment.. well guess not. I will tell you that the only DVR I have had that work flawlessly was when I had dishnetwork, their DVR worked flawless.. I have yet to use another that isn'g buggy.

It would be great if Verizon could comment and at least let us know if it will be fixed in the next update. Everyone has software problems, I'm just looking for confirmation and that it will be addressed in a future software release. I've you need videos or demos of the problem, I can make it happen.. as one person said within 20 minutes or so sometimes it varies and if you are using the FF button it stop's working and instead of going forward 30 seconds (my setting), it just goes back to the same spot in the video. Reboots, etc doesnt' work.. stopping the video and resuming will solve the issue for a little while and then return.

I am experiencing the same problem. It ALWAYS happens at some point if I begin watching a recording while the program is still airing. I do not have the problem while watching a program that has completed recording.
Verizon: we need to know you are aware of and are working on this bug.

Just to let everyone know, I decided to call Verizon to make sure they were aware of this bug. After over an hour on the line with a very eager to help technician we were unable to solve the problem despite reprovisioning all of my boxes. He was finally able to contact someone in the enhanced video group who told him it was a known issue that would be solved with the nexr software release due in September (this was really all I wanted to know in the first place).
The current recommended workaround is to use the fast forward button instead of the skip(next) button when you are watching a program that has not yet finished recording. I already knew that, too, but sometimes I press the skip button out of habit. Oh well. Hope it's better in September.

Thanks JesseB! I too am having this issue and it is VERY annoying. From what I can tell it is only with programs that are still actively recording, which is what others here have stated (confirm my findings). Guess we will all wait to see when the next release comes out.
