Just had Fios installed today and we can not see the on screen menu. The color is hard to pick out the words and the words are too small to see from across the room.

Is there a way to change the color and text size?

I am sorry, but there is no way to adjust the size or font. This would be a perfect candidate for the Verizon Idea Exchange. Please search on the idea exchange and cast your vote. There may be another member who made the same suggestion. If not, please add a new idea so your fellow community members can comment and vote on your suggestion. http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Verizon-Idea-Exchange/ct-p/ideaexchange . The Verizon Idea Exchange is there for you to submit your ideas and suggestions to Verizon so that we can consider them as we innovate our products and services.

What is the model number of your DVR or STB (set top box)?  If it's a 6416 series, that's the reason and you would need to have that swapped for a 7000 series model.  I don't know why Verizon keeps giving the older boxes to new customers.

Your TV should also be a flatscreen instead of analog.

I have noticed also that for the size of the print, you can switch between standard and HD display on the menu settings but my sense is that the issue is likely being caused by an outdated STB model which can't accommodate this new guide display.

I actually went to the Ideas board and looked for the Ideas regarding colors. Most are marked duplicate, and linked back to this. So try to add your own regarding the colors and or fonts. Your idea will probably be marked duplicate and linked back to this bucket.

So add your idea if you choose, but also vote at the link above. For myself and other family members I am perfectly content with the new guide format, but have all HD TVs, and no older tube TVs that seem to have the most trouble.

And what questioning has said. The 6xxx boxes MUST GO. IMHO they should go to the recycle grinding mill along with all the 2500. That would get them out of circulation!

Absolutely!  And frankly, that's a very good idea that should be voted on in the ideas board.  Why don't you post your idea there, prisaz?  That would surely get a lot of votes and that's really the most practical solution to the problem that I have heard of.  I didn't even think of that but to me, that makes sense and it would be a win-win situation for everyone.  And it would force Verizon to give the customers all the updated equipment in the first place without all of this hassle.  Without getting rid of and recycling the old boxes, nothing regarding this matter will ever get resolved and it will be the same issue over and over again for who knows how long.  And it would make plenty of business sense from Verizon's perspective because I am sure that many customers have been affected by this.  It's just not good for business, particularly for one as enormous as Verizon and in all reality, who would want to continue putting up with that?

And regarding the original question that was posted here, it's very possible that the user who started this thread is only concerned about the font and colors themselves but I just feel that to get the maximum benefit from coming here, people need to be specific about what kind of equipment they are using and the details of their setup because it's hard to know when the concern is written just in a general manner.  It sounds to me like the issue is more equipment related because the font size is easy to make larger or smaller.

What you said is why I am a little upset about going to the Ideas thread and seeing every idea lumped into the most negative thread or idea there is. Not every idea or opinion is the same Some are color issue some are font issue some are this issue or that. They are all being dumped into the trash bucket. In my opinion.

I will post my idea. The grinding mill for recycled electrionic components.

It can't hurt and I see that you made a separate post to direct people's attention toward your idea in the ideas forum.
