Grey Screen then message "Terminal locked enter technical code and press select"

The DVR just stops and then we get a grey screen and the message " Terminal locked enter technical code and press select" it was doing this once in a while and as of today every 10 minutes.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Pull the plug on the STB.  This may reset it properly.
