This worked for me, and hopefully lots of others.
My wife's laptop could not get HBO GO to work, my desktop did. It wasn't a problem with verizon or with HBO it had to be the browser or computer.
After checking it out for hours...
Make sure under your browser privacy setting that you are not blocking 3rd party cookies, or that if you are you put in an exception for HboGo.
Once I unchecked it her laptop worked just fine, then a couple of friends worked as well. I believe the Verizon window that is popping up under HBO is the third party cookie that HBO is looking for in order to validate your service. You can not block this.
