Recently, my non-HD TV spontaneously turns off while we're watching TV. It is connected to an HD DVR.
When this occurs, the TV is non-responsive, even to manual attempts to turn it back on. The only thing that works is unplugging the DVR to let it reset, waiting for it to run through reset mode, then turn TV back on. Sometimes, this happens every 20 minutes or so; other times, it doesn't happen at all.
We don't have this problem when we're watching DVDs, so I know it's not the TV.
Any ideas?
Is the TV plugged into the back of the STB? If so, don't plug it in there.
