HD FIOS Box Set up with DVD/VCR Combo

I recently had a HD FIOS box installed in my room for a new television set I bought. The installer was unable to get the connection to work, after he left my daughter figured out that I needed a HDMI cable. Problem is now I am unable to get my DVD/VCR to work. Could someone help me with this? Does anyone know the cables that should be connected and if I need to purchase another cable?
