Is it possible to record with HD HOMERUN using a digital adapter or cable card? I only need to record one channel at a time and dont wanna pay $15.99/month for a dvr.

If your homerun is one of the models that accept the newer cablecards, then it can be used. Your will have a monthly charge for the card.

With a digital adapter, you can record with any device that accepts either RF or composite input. Recordings would be on SD channels only. With a device that accepts a cable card, you can record all channels (SD and HD).
So if you want to record in HD, a cable card is the way to go. And I beleive their monthly cost is the same (unless you got a free DA during the analog to digital transition).
