HDMI green frozen picture, audio works just fine

I recently replaced my previous home theater receiver and changed to a Harmon Kardon AVR 2650 that I am using to do my HDMI switching.

I have the HD DVR with expanded storage (I'll have to check at home for model # if necessary)  But it's the one that's all black and shiny.

I have the DVR connected to the Harmon and the Harmon's output goes to my TV.

Everything worked perfectly from March 23 until yesterday when I encountered the issue that I turn on the tv then the receiver and the picture comes up for a moment then it mostly greenish yellow then freezes.  Audio continues to work fine.

When I change to my PS3 everything works perfectly.

I have changed out cables and they all work when interchanged (Blue Jean HDMI Cables)

Any ideas?  I'm paying for FIOS and not being able to use it.

I will add any information that you all need to help me.

Thanks in advance.

The more HDMI gets daisy-chained, the more likely a problem. Have you tried a direct connect from DVR to TV, and if so, how does that work? Judging from the info you have thus far provided, it sounds like the HK 2650 is not synching the HDMI handshake with the TV. Check for firmware updates for both TV and HarmonK. Also try turning on the HarmonK first, then the Tv - sometimes computer things are finacky. If another TV is available, you might try that one to see if it can access the HarmonK. I would also visit AVSforum.com to check and see if other owners of your equipment have had problems, and what the solutions might be. If the HarmonK is so equipped, you might experiment with component cables just to try and isolate the problem as HDMI related. Since it worked for a while, it may be a bad circuit on the HarmonK. Good luck.

I updated my TV to the latest firmware just to be sure.  That did not help.

I interchanged all HDMI cables with other components and the cables all work with other devices and there were no issues with the imputs on the HK.

I am using components from the DVR to the HK now and using the optical audio, otherwise it's useless with regards to my home theater.

I'll give it another go and be very concious with regards to turn on order, but it was my understanding that the FIOS box is kind of always on it usually shows that screen saver thing but I'll check it out when I get home.

I'll check out AVS forum specific to this issue, thanks for the reminder.
