Hdmi not handshaking with my TV

Getting a pause with no picture(black screen) no sound! Happens every 7 to 11 minutes. Getting no help from tech support! My tv/ HDMI works fine with DVD no pause. I have seen posts which date back to 2008 on this problem, some have been resolved. Why is it the tech support isn't aware of how to fix this issue! I just want the service I was promised. HElP

Do you have the HDMI directly connect from the STB to TV? I have seen some HDMI issues mostly going through a receiver. What sometimes worked was with the TV and STB turned on pressing STB power button then the OK button then the Menu buttion and changing the HDMI settings to RGB.
