That means the box is having trouble communicating to the VOD servers. Please reseat the coax cord from both ends (the wall end and the box end). Once the coax cord is back on, reboot the box by unplugging power cord for 20 seconds then plugging back in. If you continue having problems with the VOD connectivity, please send me a private message so I can get your info directly.

I have also had a couple of VOD-xxx errors and had service restored by doing the auto-correct routine in the DVR menu. Worth a try.

If doing an automatic stb repair on boxes and restart of router do not work, it is probably an outage\connection problem on their side. Give a couple of hours and try again!

Reset box and re-seated cables still doesn't work. What next?

my friend has the same problem, he called in, and afterwards was telling me that they told him it was an outage. they even announced it to him and told him the vod error code, and said if you got that you got an outage.

You can't fix this error. You just have to call and spend 45 minutes on the phone to be told it's a technical error and no, sorry, they can't do anything to make it right. It's really a crock that they market this as a cutting-edge service. Coupled with the 3-minute timeout, this make on-demand pretty much useless. I am very upset at FIOS over this, since it should be so fundamental, it's not like on demand is anything new. Considering switching because I am sick of this **bleep** me off on weekend nights.
