How to install/integrate my own DVD player on/with my Verizon system?

Is there any Verizon informational website that I can go to, simply to learn how I can  just link up a DVD player.  I simply want to view DVD movies with my wife on my TV, without messing up my Verizon TV system.

I don't have a DVR, nor use any Verizon DVD recording service.

Thank for any feedback suggestion.

Would need a fair amount of info too gives you a complete answer.

But generically, hook Verizon stb up to one TV input. Hook DVD player to another.

Use TV remote to switch between inputs.
