Buy a Roku, use your favorite gaming system, or most newer TV's, Blu-ray, and DVD players nowadays all support streaming video from Netflix, Hulu, and/or Amazon.

There are several ways to view such services on the TV. Lasagna has identified a few, and I do have a ROKU that supplements my VZ entertainment options with quite satisfactory results. You can also hook up a computer to the TV, assuming each has the right connectors. Recently made computers and TVs likely each have an HDMI port. You will need an internet connection for the computer, WiFi or ethernet. I frequently hook up my laptop via HDMI to the TV for sources not available on ROKU, and am again quite pleased with the results. Since several of the streaming providers offer high definition and surround sound, a good internet connection is necessary, so I recommend wired as the first option.
