I have just 3.5 hours of HD tv recorded on my DVR but it says its 79% full.  Thats totally messed up and has to be wrong.

My other DVR has about 7 hours of HD tv on it and is like 50% full or something

any one seen this and have any ideas for making the DVR make sense?

Known bug in the DVR firmware.  Do a reboot of the box (either from the menu or by pulling the power).  This should clear up the wrongly reported free space.

Once again (and in the future), search would have been your friend as this has been discussed many times.
