IR extender cable

Hi, I would like to know where I can get IR extender cables for two of my QIP7100 set-top boxes and one 7xxx series DVR. Also, will a regular 25ft or 50ft extension 3.5mm stereo cable work with the IR extender cable or do I need an extension just made for IR signals?

I believe you do not need a special cable - just standard stereo/audio cable.  I'm not 100% certain on that but that is what I recall.

I purchased this one long ago and it works very well.  I hear now though you can pic one up at the local Fios store for 9.99.

Good luck, i'm waiting for them to come out with an RF extender as i need about 25 ft myself.

I went to my local store, and they said the ir cables were only available from the website.  Whats up with that. I need 3 of them.
