Incomplete Recording

Anyone ever experience incomplete recordings?  I have experienced that a few times.  The latest was the recording of "Liz and Dick" on Lifetime.  I did not put in the time to record, just went to the listing in the channel line up and selected "Record". It should have recorded the whole movie, but it missed recording the ending !!  I hear I didn't miss much, but it was annoying.

I've experienced that also.  When you set a DVR by selecting the program it will record based on the expected run time. Such as 8pm to 10pm.  Frequently shows don't end exactly on the hour. (half hour or whatever)  So the DVR will stop recording and miss the tail end.  The best way to avoid this is to add time to it. One of the DVR options allows you to modify the start and stop time for a scheduled recording.

We are just starting to experience that too. We missed a lot of endings to shows we were watching. Of course they aren't on demand either. I just went in and changed the cut off time for 5 Minutes after Burt I think on one of the nights that is going cause an issue but we will see.
