Internet Access for Smart TV

I've unplugged my router numerous times to regain Internet access for my Smart TV. It works for awhile and then disconnects. Numberous online/on-phone interactions have produced nothing except: "My supervisor will be in touch".
I am unable to access Netflix or HBO to go, even though paying for it. What's the problem?!!!

Could be lots of things:
What type of TV do you have?
How far away is it from router?
Do you have any other wireless devices that you can test near TV to see if they can connect?
Any chance to relocate router to be nearer to TV?
