Long Delay Before STB is Recognized

I am running all of my components, including the STB, through an Onkyo A/V receiver.  When I power on the receiver and TV I get a message that there is no signal input for 30-45 seconds even though the STB is always powered on.  I did not have this issue with my Cox STB and was wondering whether this was a FiOS 'feature'.

 

Not sure whether this matters, but all connections are via HDMI.

Sounds like the delay is because of the HDMI handshake.The 1.7 IMG release is supposed to fix HMDI handshake issue. If it does it should speed up the connection process.
