MRDVR recording issues

While recording a program or series the DVR records 11 or 12 minutes or sometime justa few seconds stop then starts up again with the same show. When I look at recorded programs there's two for each show with one recording time of 11 minutes and the other with 12 minutes . Any suggestions of what might be happening?

Certainly sounds like a software related issue. If you haven't already go to the Menu - > Customer support -> In-Home-Agent-> and do either the Set Top Box Auto Correct and/or the Auto Fix Common DVR problems selections.
