Re: Media Manager Miscellaneous Issues (Photo problems, OS questions, and General posts)

I just updated my media manager software on my laptop and cannot see any of my mapped drives. Is this a limitation? It used to do this! Please help! I have a Windows 7 media center with terabytes of information on it I want to access.

Thanks

Having trouble with this; I've added to "My Stations" http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/pls/WBZAM.pls. Works beautifully in the Media Manager PC application. But try and get it through the STB client? Unn-Aaahh! Yet others work just fine. PLS is supposedly supported. Anybody got any idea "what gives"?

All help/ideas appreciated!

Re: Media Manager Miscellaneous Issues (Photo problems, OS questions, and General posts)

I have Windows 7 on my 3 computers. 2 are wired one running windows7 32bit & the other 64bit.  1 laptop connected wirelessly and running windows 7 64bit.  Media manager could not detect any of my computers. I get "no devices found".  I have the exeptions in windows firewall as suggested by fiosTV. Media manager never worked since fiosTV was installed.  I have been communicating with fiosTV tech support  for months. They replaced the router, STB (multi-room DVR).  I have unistalled and re-installed Media Manager, and still can't find my computers. Finally tonight, tech support's excuse was, Windows 7 not compatible with media manager. They told me to wait until Verizon upgrades madia manager to be compatible with Windows7.

Is media manager not compatible with Windows 7?

Has anyone done this?  that is my configuration as well... could be as simple as plugging it into my ethernet connection in addition to the coax cable connection?

Well, It's now 2012. Still the same issue.. Will Media Manager ever be "ready for Prime Time"? Man Frustrated

Does tech support read these posts anymore?

I added the media manager to my MAC recently & have been trying to watch a show from my computer.  The instructions say to bookmark it & I should be able to view it.  The system will not let me bookmark it.  It says try some other time.  Does anyone know how I can view something from the media manager?  I am not trying to rent or buy anything, just view an HBO show.  Yes, I am an HBO subscriber.

Why do I have duplicate music, photo and video files when I activated media manager?  To get rid of them, I had to go through hundreds of entries and delete them.  Why is this happening?

Any idea when Media Manager will be update to support 64 Bit Vista?  This has been my one issue over the last few years.  It will run on my 64 Bit Vista system, but does not support the playback of m4a audio file (from iTunes).  MP3s, all video and photos play fine.
