Same problems here. Just installed, reinstalled, run liveupdate... basically nothing changes!
Unable to stream videos, couldn't see preview on my comp (corrupt/deleted file??), unable to steam to TV ones I able to preview.
Same goes for audio, some plays in VMM no luck with playing on TV.
Internet videos that came with MM don't run on TV either. It doen't lookgood at all!
Any solutions that worked for everybody on consistant bases?

Charles,
Have you found a true fix to the situation discussed in this thread yet?
I'm having the same issue sharkman and others were and none of the 'random' 'fixes' that have been used in this thread are working for me.
Thanks.

We are still working with MM support to find out any work arounds or fixes.
They have just released a document for users trying to run the program, but then a error pops up stating media manager has stopped running.
Following is the said fix:
Start->Run, type the command: regsvr32 C:\WINDOWS\system32\VBScript.dll. Upon getting successful registration message "VBScript.dll is successfully registered", launch the MediaManager client installation again.
If this works for anyone please let us know. (This will not help if you are having video/music streaming issues)
Another note:
Like previously noted, MM may not work with other software on the PC such as Roxio we learned. I have seen issues with a IM program I use called Digsby. It will make the MM window flicker and crash randomly. If you work on your PC and find a fix, please post your fix.
Thanks

I'm gonna +1 that statement. I can get all files to play just fine in the MM software on my media center PC. It's the STB that will not play them. I am able to see all the files on the STB but get the 'timeout' error with every video I attempt to play (including internet vids and verizon sample vid).
