Media Manager and Video Files?

Until just recently, there was an announcement on FIOS TV Central in the "New Features" announcements that Verizon would soon be adding video (AVI and WMV) playback to their Media Manager capabilities.  Just within the last few days, the announcement has been removed and there is no additional explanation.  Does anyone know if this feature has been delayed?  Or has Verizon decided not to implement this feature at all?

I would love to see that. It would be great to stream my windows media center files/divx/transcoded files to my DVR. That would be nice.

This feature is about to go into beat testing from what I understand. I'm not sure how long the beta testing will last. That's the best answer I can give you at this time

How does one get into the beta test? Or is it a internal Beta test?

Here is a link to the Verizon site for participating in product tests:

At one time the DVR streaming beta (Internet Video Trial) was available for signup through this site, I don't know if it still taking applicants or not, or if they have added any new test.
