My problem concerns playback of recordings longer than 2 hours. I have two Verizon DVRs. Each plays back correctly in its own location. But when playing back to the remote TV, each cuts off at the 2-hour mark. I'd like to know what is causing this behavior and how to fix it.

IPC must be set to auto power off at 2 hours.
Check Menu Settings System Media Client Auto Power off.
You can set it to disable. But doing so may limit number of tuners available for recording.
You can increase to 4 hours. Or do anything on remote during playback to interact with STB.

Thanks for responding. I can get into "System," but there is no option to go to "Media Client," and I haven't been able to find it anywhere else. Any other suggestions?

Apparently this fix works for Quantum STBs, not the Cisco CHS 435 HD STB. According to Chat tech SivaLatha, the Cisco box can't play back anything longer than 2 hours to a remote TV. However, if I fast-forward to the 2-hour point and resume playback, the rtecording always continues to the end. Does this make sense?
