Earlier this evening, I spoke to Verizon technical support. The person told me Verizon does not have multistream cable cards. From the existing posts in this forum, it seems he was incorrect.

Yes. When you order a CableCard from Verizon, you get a M-CARD. That is always what they bring by default, unless you ask the installer (who should call 15-45 minutes prior to their arrival) otherwise.
CSRs do not have current information regarding CableCards, and the order system does not differentiate between the two.
When I placed my order, I asked the CSR what type of cable card they offered. When she stated multi-stream, I requested one. Unfortunately, the installer only had single-stream cable cards; thus, I'm currently charged two.
Should I contact technical support or customer sales to rectify the issue?

I have a tech coming out Monday hear on Long Island to repair my stuttering in my Tivo. I have two cards and I was told they don't have multi stream cards by repair.
1.) What would the multi stream card do: Do you get VOD? Are you able to order movies or is it that you save $6 with one less card. Maybe this is the reason for not wanting to give them out.

My tech called to confirm the appointment and I asked him if he had a Multistream Card, and he said no. I said don't come. I told him I specified Multistream and that is what I wanted. He came after picking up one from another tech. Getting one after excepting two single stream may be tough and would probably require a truck roll cost. KenAF would probably know more. In my area the CO is supposed to be sending out Multistream cards and I have been told some TVs will not work with the multistream and that is why they have single stream on the truck at times.
