My set top box keeps crashing-- and I go to the FIOS web site and they can reset it-- but 10 minutes later it crashes again. I tried to automated system but after 20 minutes of talking to a robot which has poor voice recognition abilities I gave up. Where do I go to swap this thing out? How do I talk to a human?
I took mine to a local Verizon store in a shopping mall. No appointment. Just walked in and they swapped mine for another one.... Call first to make sure they have one, unless you're going anyway.
Make sure the box has enough space around it for ventilation of the heat buildup. If it gets too hot (it is August after all) it will shut down.
