Need Activation Code

I recently ordered a Motorola DCT700 box and while in the Verizon store to pick it up I decided to upgrade my FIOS channel package. Well, the DCT700 was DOA so I returned it a couple of days later and got a replacement. At that time the customer service rep said that the system could not generate a new activation code for the STB because I had a pending order and gave me a number to call. That number went to an automated setup process that got me nowhere. Is there anyway I can get the activation code for this box? {edited for privacy}
