On Demand disabled

I have had Fios for 2 days and have no On Demand. The message on the TV says On Demand is currently disabled and to call 1-800-VERIZON

I am being told by the chat reps in Southern India that there is an outage that has to be  "dealt with by engineers at the central location".  I am located in Wellesley MA. Does anyone else have this problem?

I have now resolved this, after 2 days, by actually speaking to an engineer in Southern India. He didn't believe it was an outage and that sounded very odd. He then "reset the lines" and On Demand came on. 

My only advice, is make sure you actually speak to an engineer on the phone. If youy get told there is "an outage" for on demand, you are almost certainly being fobbed off with a default explanation.
