Output Sound from DVR 6416

Afternoon all,

I have a DVR, 1080p LCD TV, and Bose sound system. I would like to connect my DVR to my LCD TV via HDMI, but only for the video. I would like to connect the DVR via optical connection to my receiver that my Bose sound system is connected for sound only. Can this be done on the 6416. I am not sure it can since the HDMI connection is audio/video together.

I have my system set up that way.  Don'y worry about the sound from the HDMI....just turn the set's volume down.  Audio is fed from both the HDMI cable and your optical Toslink simultaneously.
