I have recently installed Parental control on our FIOS DVR and everytime we change the channel we need to enter the parental control code. It seems the parental control should be needed only once. I used to have Comcast service and we entered the parental control code once. We controled the kids viewing by turning off the DVR every evening. This way when the kids turn on the servce in the morning parental control code is required. I called the technical help desk and it seems the parental control code is needed everytime changing the channel. In other workds chanell surfing is a nightmare
