Paying for Extreme HD but not getting additonal HD channels

My bill says I'm paying for FiOS TV Premier, which is the same price as the FiOS TV Extreme HD mentioned in the rates and packages document http://promo.verizon.com/welcome/pdfs/rates_and_packages_c8.pdf. Why is it for the two years I've had Verizon FIOS I've never been able to tune into for example FX HD, Disney HD, We HD, MTV HD? I get the basic HD (ABC, NBC etc) but not the extra ones I've apparently been paying for.

By my calculation you owe me 2 free months of service (Internet and TV bill with the 2 DVR rentals) and I'd like to get the channels the I'm paying for. You've been robbing me for 2 years.

You should call your local Verizon store (not wireless). My local store has helped resolve these kind of issues.

The link in your message does not work.  Perhaps it was removed because it is out of date.  Verizon no longer offers the Premier package.  In mid-2009 they introduced the Extreme package, which added HD channels to those included in the old Premier package (e.g. Disney HD, etc.).  If you had the Premier package you kept it -- but it was no longer offered as an package option, and you didn't get any of the added HD channels.  In early 2010, they dropped a few channels from the 2009 Extreme package (e.g. MGM Movies HD, etc.) and started offering a new 2010 Premier package that was in line with the "modified" 2009 Extreme package.

I had the old Premier package, and my experience is that the old Premier package had far fewer HD channels than either the 2009 or 2010 Extreme package and was cheaper than the Premier package ($10). So I don't think you didn't get what you could have gotten with Extreme because they were not the same price when Extreme was introduced in 2009.  Also, Verizon doesn't change the package that a subscriber has selected even if it is no longer offered or there is an alternative that is similar.  The subscriber is grandfathered into the old package, and must make their choice of a new package.

keep in mind that there is an extreme 2009 and an extreme 2010.   extreme hd 2009 is labeled as simply 'extreme hd'

extreme 2010 actually has the year and is labeled as 'extreme hd 2010'

pull up the compare list and see if the channels you are missing coincide with the subtle difference.  if it does then call the verizon office @ 888 553 1555 or open a chat and ask to rebundle your services with the extreme 2010 so that you can get the channels on the new package.

I'm providing the california link here that shows the differences  ----  click here

Go to www.verizon.com/fiostvchannels to put in your zipcode (the national line up is identical so no real need to put your zip code from what i understand) but if you want to double check with your zip then you can go there.

just remember to click on the grey button that says "compare my channels"
