The power buttons on my Philips RC remote have stopped working for both the TV and the STB. I have replaced the batteries twice. I have reprogrammed the remote using all the codes for my JVC TV. I have switched the remote to turn each device on/off one at a time. None of these have worked.
If I turn the STB and TV on manually, all the other functions on the remote work propely, just the power on/off do not work.
I cannot find anything within the on-line help that will solve my problem(s).

I would first reset the remote... then re-program it.... sounds like it somehow got set to send power to a diff device when power is pressed, or something
To reset the remote, do this.
Step Action
1 Press and hold the STB key.
2 While holding down the STB key, press OK.
3 Release both keys. The device keys will blink twice.
4 Press 9-0-0.
