i have had FIOS TV for a week. Both of the DVRs go blank for a couple of seconds then come back when I turn off certain light switches in the same or nearby rooms. Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Hi 633home...sorry to hear that your DVR's are going blank for a few seconds, it sounds electrical in nature.

633home continued...sorry for that break. Since the issue isn't solely with the DVR's, and includes possible electrical issues, this wouldn't be within our scope of support. You may want to ask an electrician.

If you have a UPS (uninterruptable power supply) try hooking the DVR power through it. If the problem goes away then you definitely have an electrical problem with either the circuit the DVR is on or the switch is on as the switch may be creating a spike on the power.
