On our one set the premium channels keep going black. You can hear sound or bring up the guide but you can't see the movie. It will go on and off for hours. HELP.

Are you connected to the TV by HDMI cable? There are many threads dealing with HDMI handshake issues causing blank screens, intermittent operation, etc.
If you are I would suggest trying component (RED/BLUE/GREEN RCA jacks) to see if the problem goes away. While analog they give full 1080i resolution.
