Problem with Clock display on HD Tuner

After the latest software update, we are having trouble displaying the clock on our HD tuner.  When the box is turned off the time is displayed.  When the box is on only the channel is displayed.  Before the update, when you changed the channel, the channel would be displayed but then would switch to clock after about 20 seconds.  It now displays the channel only and does not switch to clock. 

I have gone to Menu - Settings - Set-Top Box - Front Display - Show Clock and set it to Show clock.  Standby Front Display is also set to show clock.  It did not solve the problem.  I have also reset the box but this did not help.  I hate software updates.

Has anyone else had this problem after the latest software update?

No havent had that problem but what you may want to do is call tech support and have them re-initialize your STB, It may be a glitch in the software download and if they redownload the program to the stb, it may clear that.

You can also try unplugging the box overnight, when you plug it back in in the morning it should also re-download the software.

I have noticed that the display can be a bit erratic (channel shows up randomly then goes back to clock). Try changing the setting, then putting it back.

With the 1.7 IMG there was a change to the way the front clock display funtioned. Even if you have it set to diplay clock, at every program change(ie every half hour or hour depending on the length of the show), the front display will flash to channel number for 1-2 minutes.

Thanks for everyone's help.  After 3 days the clock display returned to normal.  Don't know why it's working Ok now.
