I recently purchased a Denon AVR-2311CI receiver, which supports HDMI passthrough. Before I had the receiver, the fios stb was connected directly to the tv and we did not have any video cutouts. Now that the stb is connected through the receiver we get video cutouts with the receiver powered on or off. I contacted Denon about this issue and they said most cable boxes do not support CEC and that is why I am having this issue. They said if I turn off the CEC control in both the received and the tv then there would not be any more cutouts, the problem with that is that with CEC turned off in the receiver I would lose the HDMI-passthrough capability. I have been trying to read up on the 6416 and wondering if there is an option somewhere in settings that I am missing that will enable CEC.
Haven't seen any such option on the FiOS boxes (6xxx or 7xxx) either in the STB on screen menu or the "hidden" menu (accessed by pressing POWER - SELECT - MENU in sequence on the box while TV is on).
