Questions about FiOS TV Conversion to Digital Service

Congress has mandated that all television broadcasting be transitioned by June 12, 2009.  Verizon has already converted to 100% digital TV.  This means that if your TV is an older model, it may need additional equipment (such adapter DCT 700) as so that it can receive the digital signals that TV networks will broadcast.  You can purchase digital adapters by calling 1-888-591-6075. 
To place an order on your verizon.com account, follow these steps:
  2.  Sign In.
  3.  Choose the 'My Services' Tab, and select 'My TV' from the menu.
  4.  Select the 'Add/Return Equipment' link under the My TV Equipment section.

Followed your directions for web access and there is no digital adapter shown as a choice.  Only choices are

  1. @High Definition Home Media DVR @ $19.99/month
  2. DVR@ @ $15.99/month (should indicate it is HD but doesn't)
  3. @High Definition (HD) Set Top Box @ $9.99/month
  4. @standard Definition Set Top Box @ $5.99/month

Also, do you mean purchase or lease?  I thought that you could only lease not buy Verizon boxes.

here is the funny thing....With the new packages that came out Monday double and triple bundles get 1 or 2 dct 700's at no cost.

DARN!!!  I just signed my mom up Saturday (she is a senior on a limited income) and they will be charging her $3.99 a month for the 2 DCT-700's I got her (in addition to a standard STB) when she is installed.  I guess the $150 back will sort of make up for that, but not forever Smiley Sad
