RF remote on verizon DVR/STB?

Hi!

Currently I have directtv HD DVR receivers and their RF remote, because I got a wall mounted LCD TV and the STB inside the closet.  Now I'm considering fios tv.

Is there a way to have an RF remote on the verizon DVR? perhaps thorugh that IR input? is there any device offered by verizon to solve this problem?

There are some devices out there that take an IR to RF and back to IR. I beleive there are some cable devices that night also work.

Here is the IR to RF to IR. Runs $49 and will handle more than one device since it just relays the IR signat that ir receives.

Note says not to use the 433mhx but the 418mhz with FIOS.
